A pair of fine Akan anklets, Ivory Coast

A pair of Akan solid copper filigree bracelets with heavy covering of verdigris. Field collected from the Baule in Ivory Coast, but it is thought these likely made the journey from Akan/Ghana when the Baule relocated to Ivory Coast during the 18th century. The material of these pieces date them prior to 16th century. Exceptional condition with only minute separation of metal at a joint.
