A broad, leaf shaped Australian aboriginal woomera Intricate geometric designs front, zig zag pattern and tally marks on recto. Spinfex handle intact. A piece of throwing end missing, along with barb. This is a very old piece with generations of use and surface patina. Despite the breakage, this is one the finest woomeras we have handled. Certaintly 19th century. A piece which would have become a ceremonial piece at some point.
