An extraordinary, old collection of Aboriginal Pointing Bones. These were used by the Kurdaitcha, the ritual executioner, to place curses on those who had violated tribal code or injured another by the use of magic. All with spinifex at the end, this grouping includes: 1. an example tassled with native string, 2. a curved pearl shell example with shiny surface, 3. a short example with flat surface, with sets of parallel engraved bands in rows of 3's, 4. a long bone example with 8 single bands evenly spaced, 5. an undecorated wooden example with blunt end, 6-7, two long wooden examples with burnt in designs.
