Julie Nagala Robinson (1973 -)

Julie was born in Yuendumu and is the daughter of well-known Telstra Award winning
artist, Dorothy Napangardi. Julie's paintings are graphically minimal and contemporary
designs of Pirlinyanu, a water Dreaming site (Ngapa Jukurrpa) near Mina Mina, for
which she is traditional custodian. In recent years, she has started to paint on a regular
basis and has exhibited in numerous group shows. Julie's style is evolving into a
unique combination of experimentation and ancient narrative.
