African Karamajong Kenya Neckrest

A very old, exceptional Karamajong neckrest, Kenya, East Africa. Carved out of one piece of wood, smooth honey brown patina from generations of use. A fragment of the surface of one leg has detached long ago. Overall excellent condition. The best we have seen. Circa 19th century. Ex-Tambaran Gallery, New York.
