Aboriginal Indigenous Copper Repair Boomerang
#153033

Australian aboriginal boomerang, stone carved surface created by chipping method, repaired with old telegraph wire. This is a unique, old piece, perfectly illustrating the confluence of two cultures, and the ability of aboriginals to innovate and make use of new materials in which they came in contact. The Overland telegraph went through central Australia in the 1890’s. A favorite of ours.
