A Yoruba, Nigeria, W. Africa child's rocking chair. With bright and complex bead pattern, including red, green, blue, black and white beads. A protective animal at the back and friendly birds on the seat surrounding diamonds in a square. Old cloth on the seat's back and around the wooden base. Extensive signs of wear and treasured use within the culture. Circa 1950 or before.
