A superb grouping of ancient ivory harpoon heads carved from walrus ivory. Extremely refined engraving work on three. Two with rare remnants of a slate point. Fourth head with no apparent engraving, but with a deep, ancient, marbled color, and chiseled edges that are unique. All display ancient, glossy patina. Old Bering Sea. 100 BC-300 AD. St. Lawrence Island. Extremely rare. In a class by themselves.
