A shamanistic Eskimo figure made from smooth, fossilized walrus teeth, joined with old brass rods. This came with a collection of Eskimo artifacts from Point Hope, Alaska. It is possible that this was a piece made for sale, but if so, it is clearly imbued with the spirit of Eskimo mythology and thought. Glass trade beads used as this marvelous creature’s eyes leads us to believe he is circa 1900. A unique creation who has captured the heart of children of all ages who have seen it.
