Inuit Woman's Comb #158045
An ancient Inuit woman's comb with unusually long tines, with rich dark brown patina, and a surface pitted from hundreds of years in frozen ground. Some ancient engraving visible on surface below pitting. Loss on one of tines, but overall strong, and stable, and of great presence. Comb’s handle fits neatly into hand St. Lawrence Island. A favorite of ours. Likely Old Bering Sea, 100 BC- 300 AD. Rare.
