A very large and dramatic Kobuk jade celt or adze from Alaska. Green and highly polished towards the bit, and retaining a sharp edge, the making of this piece would have required enormous determination - so hard is the Alaskan jade that it carries its own legends. Found near Savoonga, Alaska. Hundreds of years old. This piece would have been an important piece, no doubt property of a shaman. Excellent condition. Extremely Rare.
