Two Dani, New Guinea green wealth stones. Dani People, Baliem Valley, Irian Jaya. Excellent, old examples of brideprices pieces—the quality of the stones and the work which went into polishing them made them valued and treasured pieces. Finely carved, each wrapped with tightly woven, plaited orchid binding around center. Pre-1950, possibly much older.
