Massive Sepik River, New Guinea, house post. Rising from a cylindrical base, with a series of undulating ridges encircling the whole beneath enormous jaws on the head fashioned with forked crown, the raised oval mouth and nose beneath raised eyes of concentric circles and rows of raised ridges up the side; and decorated with multicolored white bands.A very imposing object on a custom museum stand.
