An ancient Costa Rican bowl with decorated handles, Atlantic Watershed Region, circa 1000-1400 AD. A burnished ceramic bowl with a flaring lip and handles which have four circles and four bands on each side; reddish brown and black on buff. From an old Southern California collection. Understated and elegant. A great example.
