African Batammaliba Togo Woven Shields

3 Batammaliba, Togo, woven handshields. Cane spirals are wrapped in rattan fibers. The centers have a tall spiral cone. These were used in ceremonial war dances and as defense against arrows. Good patina. Circa early 20th century. Scarce. Rare as a grouping.
