Massive Cameroon Round Table

A very large Cameroon, W. Africa, circular table. Hundreds of carved, raised interlocking protrusions circling the entire piece. A flat surface at the top, with a raised rim top and bottom of the table. The inside of the table is hollow. A fantastic example that would have required countless hours, and great skill and artistry to execute. A prestige item that would have been reserved for royalty or an important chief. Good surface wear. Fine condition. Circa mid 20th century. Rare in this size and finesse.
