Teeth Necklace

A very old necklace from the Naga peoples, NE India/Himalayas. This dates to a period when headhunting was an integral part of these cultures. Dozens of yak teeth heavily patinated from age and wear interspersed with turquoise colored and dark blue trade beads. A bone frame with a grimacing head figure at the top. The only one of its type we have seen.
