Aboriginal Wandjina Woomera
#153049

Aboriginal woomera, with wandjinas collected at Gibb River Station where it was used ceremonially in the Kimberley's about 1963. Some loss in the natural earth pigment decorations, but the ceremonial dots and wandjinas remain prominent. Barb for holding the throwing spear is fixed with resin and is intact. Natural fiber binding near the grip. Very rare, clearly ceremonial treatment.
